P-LYVE grew up on the deadly, crime-ridden streets of Far Rockaway queens New York. Hes been writing since his early teen years being influenced by not only one artist but by the hip hop culture as a whole. He started his career as an rap artist in a group named DOUBLE EDGE showing passion for his neighbourhood and naming the group after his residence. The notorious Edgemere housing project. Lyves story is no different from any other from the hood,the long days and dark nights hustling the streets and of course the run ins with the law that ultimately lead to a four year stint in the New York state prison system. After his release he took a vow to focus his time and energy into writing and producing music. P-lyve is heavily influenced by all genres of music coming from a musical back ground where his mother was a singer and his father was a master engineer for motown records back when motown was the mecca of music Inspired by his fathers gold and platinum disc from his fathers glory days back in the motor city. P-lyve now runs his production company ALMEDA MUSIC with his partner Trizzy. When asked what hes bringing to the game that separates him from the rest he very calmly and confidently replies what im bringing is what only a few other people in the game are bringing, what im bringing is QUALITY, ORIGINAL MUSIC NOT JUST BEATS AND RHYMES what im bringing is a SOUND MY OWN SOUND THE ALMEDA SOUND and thats what separates me from the rest thats the difference between an artist and a rapper, theres an abundance of rappers but theres only a few artist really giving the people quality and original music
