Unfortunately the LION'S SHARE "Remembrance" promo video is digitally distorted on the UNITED/ Where Is The Fire DVD. About 150 of the biggest names in rock and hard rock from Sweden have recorded a song that will be released in a couple of weeks on a special DVD to raise money through the Red Cross for the victims of the horrible earthquake and flood disaster in Asia.
The song "Where Is The Fire" (written by Tommy Denander, Bjorne Lindbom and Bernt Ek) was originally recorded a few years ago for the victims of 9/11, but was eventually pulled from that project because it "was very poorly handled by the people in charge," according to a press release. The song has been kept in a vault with the intention of donating it if and when something horrible would happen again....well, it doesn't get much worse than this.
This special DVD will include a documentary of how the song was recorded, a music video of the song plus 10-15 never-before-shown or very rare videos with great bands like EUROPE, TALISMAN, LION'S SHARE, PAIN and lots of other great stuff.
The DVD will be sold for a special price of 100 SEK (11 Euro or 15 Dollars) and every cent of the profit will be given to the Red Cross.
It will be available through several mail order shops in Europe and hopefully in USA and Japan soon as well.

Today we were shocked and saddened to learn that our dear old friend PA Danielsson died in a car accident in Italy last Friday (Nov. 26). Besides being a very close friend, PA helped write the early LION'S SHARE songs "Sins of a Father" and "Scarecrow", and played on several demos we did around 1993. He was also a touring member of TIAMAT in the mid-'90s. Our thoughts are with his family on this very sad day. Rest in peace brother.

HELL BENT FOR WEATHER:
Pär Holmgren and Pererik Åberg, the two most famous meteorologists on Swedish national TV (SVT), have put together a band that will perform at this year's SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL. The band, dubbed SPRIDDA SKURARS ("Scattered Showers" in Swedish), will perform well-known hard rock classics with re-written lyrics in Swedish based around the weather and the greenhouse-effect theme. The media interest is huge and in addition to performing at the festival on Saturday, June 12, the band will hold a press conference on Friday, June 11 (with former "Headbanger's Ball" Europe host Vanessa Warwick). The show will be recorded by Swedish national radio and filmed for a DVD. The stage show will include a lot of "crazy" surprises, including smoking guitars, snow machines and film sequences on wide-screen backdrops.
Backing Holmgren and Åberg on stage will be well-known names from the Swedish rock and metal scene: Lars Chriss (LION'S SHARE) on guitar, Thomas Broman (HUGHES TURNER PROJECT, ELECTRIC BOYS, JOHN NORUM) on drums, Sampo Axelsson (GLENN HUGHES, CRAWLEY) on bass/guitar, Dr. Rock (106.7 RockKlassiker, HIROSHIMA) on drums and Janne Hellman (HIGHWAY STARS) on keyboards/vocals, plus a "very special secret guest." A warm-up show took place on Sunday (May 30) at Fredmans in Uppsala, Sweden.

Dear friends,
Another year is coming to a close (and this one's been extremely fast).
During 2003 I was involved in building a brand new recording studio in Tyresö, just outside Stockholm, and this, of course, has kept me extremely busy.
I have a pretty good picture of what the next LION'S SHARE album will be like, both song- and member-wise. Being a producer and engineer in a commercial recording studio, of course, means I don't have as much time as before to work on LS-related stuff exclusively. Another thing that's slowing down the band slightly is that the new members don't live here in Stockholm, but are spread all over Sweden (oh well, could be worse).
For those of you who want to hear my writing and playing before the next LS gets released, I am working on a very interesting project called "Christian Rivel's AUDIOVISION". Members from such bands as YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, THUNDER, EUROPE, HUGHES TURNER PROJECT, NARNIA, CANDLEMASS, WHITESNAKE, BLUE MURDER, LION'S SHARE, TALISMAN, RADIOACTIVE, PLATITUDE and ELECTRIC BOYS have all contributed to the project so far. Besides playing on it, I have co-written 7 of the 10 songs and I'm also producing, recording and mixing the album, which is to be released after the summer.
To all LION'S SHARE fans, I would like the express my deepest gratitude for your patience while waiting for the band to get more active again. I promise you that the wait WILL have been worth it once you've heard the new material!
Have a great, great 2004 and keep in touch!
/Lars Chriss

"Rock 'n' Roll Allright" is already on the A-rotation list on 106.7 Rockklassiker. Look for TEN 67 (featuring Lars on guitar), to appear at this year's Sweden Rock Festival alongside such acts as WHITESNAKE, QUEENSRŸCHE and SEPULTURA. More information on the label and studio can be found at www.jkproductions.org
The KISS tribute CD, "Undressed", which features songs culled solely from the 1980 album "Unmasked" is now released through the German label RSR Music/AOR Heaven.
