Born in Belgium in 1976 with Jordanian and Yugoslavian origins, Karim Baggili , is a young composer, self-taught guitarist and oud player.
He began playing the electric guitar at the age of 16. At 20, he starts working the different techniques of the flamenco guitar and acquires an Arabic lute (Oud) during one of his many trips to Jordan.
He'll be in several projects: "Ereska Trio", "Colette", a play. He'll work with "L'Orchestre de Chambre de la Néthen", and with singers for children like, Christian Merveille, Yvette Berger, Raphy Raphaël...
In 2000, Karim won the first price of the "Open String Festival" in Osnabrück.
His first CD was released in 2002 and he takes part in many CD recordings.
He composes the music of several documentaries and one short film.
He's playing now with several groups like "Traces", "Turdus Philomelos". He has recently played on stage with "Philippe Lafontaine". He also plays with jazz pianist "Nathalie Loriers" and takes part on stage and in studio with an english singer, "Melanie Gabriel".
He brought together great musicians for his new band: "Karim Baggili Quartet" where he plays all his compositions inspired by flamenco music, south americans rythms and one of his origins: oriental music.
They already gave many concerts, have been part of "Entre Vues" 2004 and made the Jazz Tour des Lundis d'Hortense beginning of this year.
The Karim Baggili Quartet CD "Cuatro con Cuatro" has been released beginning of december 2005 and was followed by a tour in Belgium. Label: homerecords.be.
A cd (solo) "Douar" has been released in Germany mid-november by "Acoustic Music Records" (German label). The release was followed by a tour of nine dates in several towns of Germany. The event was called "The International Guitar Night". This cd will be available in the Benelux september 2006 via "homerecords.be". A tour will follow.
Karim also performs often in solo or in duets with his percussionist Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles.
"Aton Lua" is his brand new project; a mixture of rock and world music where he sings (in French, English, Spanish, Arabic and Serbo-croate) and play the electric guitar, the flamenco guitar and even the luth (oud).

Born in 1969, Philippe Laloy is an eclectic musician whose musical language is fullfilled with different influences such as jazz, folk , rock or still classical music. After a classic training on the transverse flute, he left for Canada during one year where he learned playing Jazz and perfected his artistry in soprano saxophone (University of Lethbridge).

Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles
Born in Mexico in 1964, he has been a percussionist for 20 years. He began with Latin American rhythms and then moved on with the afro-Cuban.
Living in Brussels, he plays and recorded with numerous music groups (National Ballet of Mexico, Deep Forest, Carlos Dias). He is the most popular percussionist in Brussels for the Latin American tones.
